Local Sales Tax Rate Changes

Effective January 1, 2015, local sales and use tax within Benton County will increase three-tenths of one
percent (.003). The tax will be used for criminal justice and public safety purposes.
Businesses must collect the appropriate new rate of sales tax for retail sales and services provided within

Interest Rates Remain the Same for the First Quarter of 2015

WASHINGTON – The Internal Revenue Service today announced that interest rates will remain the same for the calendar quarter beginning Jan. 1, 2015. The rates will be:
three (3) percent for overpayments (two (2) percent in the case of a corporation);
three (3) percent for underpayments;
five (5) percent for large corporate underpayments; and
one-half (0.5) percent for the portion of a corporate overpayment exceeding $10,000.
